• Always Something

We have been at work on the farm.  We cleared out the milk room and had our designer Kendra Marie suit it up in striking minimalism.  This new space is perfect for a groom preparation room.  While we were at it we dressed up the end of the barn.  This side of the building now better matches the rest of the barn and property.

  • Grab Bag Surprise

Today we have a delightfully random grab bag update. We now have a calendar on our site that shows all of the available and booked dates. We also added a commonly asked questions section to the about us page. In the non-virtual realm our food prep room is finished and has a shiny new fridge. We’ll keep you posted world.

  • Renovations are done

We did it! Well our contractors did it, but the important thing is the bathrooms and bridal room are done and beautiful. We are very thankful for our fantastic interior designer Kendra Marie. She did an incredible job of combining a clean elegant look with the barn’s rustic history.  you’d be hard pressed to find people who are more excited about bathrooms than we are right now. we’ll keep you posted, world.

  • Renovation

Happy seventh of June everybody! We thought we would take this holiday to share an update. We have made a lot of progress on the bathrooms and changing room. The walls are up, the plumbing and electric are going in and we’re ready for our next wedding. We’ll keep you posted, world.

  • Freshly Paved

Congratulations to us! We paved our driveway and parking lot this week. All we need to do now is minor aesthetic work  and of course christen it with doughnuts and burn outs. This is quickly turning out to be one our most productive years. Next on the busy agenda is building the bathrooms and changing rooms into the barn. We’ll keep you posted, world.

  • We have animals!

We have quite the animal collection here at Lakefield. We have a bevy of peacocks, a brood of Top-hat chickens, two Mute Swans (Antony and Cleopatra) and one incredible bloodhound-lab mix dog named Moses D Metzler; He is probably the most laid back and friendly dog you have ever met. From summer to spring we keep Black Angus steers in the back pasture.
